Job Title: Senior Roadway Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Roadway Engineer to join our Florida Transportation Practice in Tavares, Tampa or Orlando, FL.

Job Summary:

The ideal candidate will bring civil engineering design experience with a focus on delivering and/or managing projects for the Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT). The candidate should have a strong background in leading technical approach and delivery of roadway tasks, and/or leading delivery of transportation design projects for FDOT, with Districts 1, 5 and 7 preferable.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead technical approach and delivery of roadway tasks
  • Lead delivery of transportation design projects for FDOT
  • Develop and maintain professional relationships within the industry
  • Work closely with the Transportation Team Leader in Central Florida and the Transportation Practice Leader in developing growth strategy for the region
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree or Master's Degree in Civil Engineering or ABET accredited equivalent Engineering degree
  • A minimum of 8 years of experience in civil, public works or transportation project delivery, with at least 4 years post PE License preferred
  • Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) experience
  • Professional Engineer (PE) License in the State of Florida
  • Ability to lead a project and supervise technical staff
  • Demonstrated ability to design and review in MicroStation
  • Ability to design, oversee and review roadway projects for FDOT and local municipalities
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
