Diagnostic Imaging Specialist

At HCA Florida Capital Hospital, we are seeking a skilled Diagnostic Imaging Specialist to join our team. As a Diagnostic Imaging Specialist, you will operate MRI equipment, MRI compatible power injector, and position patients to produce diagnostic images in a safe manner. You will also perform related duties, including reconstruction and special processing of data, ensuring required patient safety questionnaires are completed, and maintaining orderliness and cleanliness.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Operate MRI equipment to produce diagnostic images according to established department protocols.
  • Position patients to correct positions for each examination, selecting the appropriate coil as called for the procedure.
  • Perform reconstruction and special processing of data.
  • Ensure required patient safety questionnaire is completed and appropriate safety measures are taken.
  • Record and maintain data as appropriate.
Requirements:
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support certification within 30 days of employment start date.
  • State of Florida Registered Radiologic Technologist.
  • Registered Radiographer (ARRT) (R) & (MR) through ARRT.
  • Associate Degree in Radiology Technology.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of anatomy, positioning, MRI techniques, and MRI safety concepts and techniques.
  • Knowledge of MRI physics and medical terminology.
