We are seeking a highly skilled Patient Care Technician to join our team at Johnson Memorial Hospital. As a Patient Care Technician, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional care to patients with various injuries, illnesses, and disabilities.
Key Responsibilities- Assist patients with activities of daily living, including personal hygiene, fluid intake, elimination, bathing, and dressing.
- Deliver ice and beverages to patients as directed.
- Perform selected tasks, such as patient transport, collection of specimens, and distribution of linens and supplies to patient rooms.
- Provide care according to hospital procedures in a manner that protects the safety and dignity of patients.
- May perform secretarial tasks to aid in the flow of the unit.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Ability to pass drug screenings and background checks.
- CPR/Basic Life Support certification required (AMA or Red Cross).
- Per Diem schedule, must work 24 hours per month.
