Radiology / X-Ray Technician

Work Schedule: 12-hour shifts, Fri-Sun

-Experience Required: Minimum of 1 Year

-First-time travelers: Not ideal for those unfamiliar with a busy Department and Trauma Center

-No Call Requirement

-No Floating Required

-50 Mile Radius Rule

-Orientation: Weekly on Mondays, compliance requires at least three weeks

-Daily Caseload:

- Volume varies based on Trauma Days and/or Surgery

- Between 3p-12a, Techs can expect 90 to 120 studies

- Anticipated studies per shift: 24-35

Special Requirements: The technician must be capable of working independently in Surgery with C-Arms, Portables, and within the Department for TRAUMA, particularly in a busy Emergency Room setting.

- Candidates should not judge the facility's capacity solely by the number of beds, as this does not reflect the volume and expertise necessary to succeed in this environment.

- The facility includes a Pediatric Hospital, necessitating a higher level of expertise.

- Surgeries continue beyond day shifts, often requiring multiple staff members in Surgery throughout their shifts, while others manage the workload.

- The facility also features a burn unit and a busy ICU.
