Key Responsibilities- Inventory Planning and Control: Develop and implement inventory control procedures and best practices to maintain optimal inventory levels, establish and maintain optimal cost-effective stocking and reorder points for inventories, and monitor inventory levels to ensure they are adequate for production and sales needs.
- Supply Chain Collaboration: Coordinate with production, purchasing, and sales departments to forecast inventory needs and avoid shortages or overstock situations, and work with suppliers to maintain up-to-date lead times.
- Inventory Analysis and Reporting: Analyze production and shipping data to balance inventory levels, reduce waste, and prepare routine inventory reports, and investigate and resolve inventory issues, including discrepancies, damages, and losses.
- Warehouse Operations: Support the Shipping & Warehouse departments to manage and organize warehouse layouts to optimize space utilization and ensure efficient inventory checks, and coordinate and conduct cycle counts, month-end inventories, and annual physical inventories.
- Leadership and Communication: Lead and assist in the day-to-day purchasing and procurement activities, ensuring the timeliness and integrity of the processes in place are maintained, and continually update leadership on the overall accuracy and efficiency of the inventory management process, setting and accomplishing team goals.
- Education and Experience: Bachelor's degree in a related field and two years of relevant experience, or other combinations of education and experience may be evaluated.
- Leadership and Communication Skills: Strong leadership skills, good oral and written communication skills, and the ability to communicate with all levels of management and employees to ensure internal customer satisfaction.
- Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills: Strong analytical, reasoning, and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail required to ensure documentation is completed accurately and on time.
