Job Summary

Summary: We are seeking a skilled Diet Clerk to join our team at Morrison Healthcare. As a Diet Clerk, you will be responsible for patient menu management, data collection, and diet office functions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Distribute and collect menus to ensure accurate patient meal planning.
  • Assist patients in completing menu selections in compliance with prescribed diets.
  • Offer alternatives to menu items as allowed on prescribed diets, taking into account food allergies, sensitivities, cultural, ethnic, and religious preferences.
  • Plan regular and modified menus based on current diet manuals.
  • Prepare and distribute supplements, tube feedings, and enteral formula in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Manage human/donor milk and/or infant formula inventory and distribution.
  • Adhere to facility confidentiality, HIPAA regulations, and patient's rights policies.
  • Comply with regulatory agency standards, including federal, state, and TJC.
  • Complete all required documentation, reports, and logs.
  • Follow facility and department infection-control policies and procedures.
  • Participate in facility-wide and department Performance Improvement Program and on Performance Improvement teams to improve processes and patient care.
