Position Overview

The Division of Nephrology and Hypertension within the Department of Medicine at UofL Health is actively seeking an Assistant Professor Term (open rank) with a focus on transplant nephrology.

In the role of a transplant nephrologist, you will be integral to fulfilling the three core missions of academic medicine: education, research, and patient care.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for mentoring nephrology fellows, residents, and medical students, imparting a comprehensive understanding of the renal system and the intricacies of the transplant process.

Moreover, the candidate will engage in collaborative research efforts, particularly in clinical trials, to ensure that nephrology fellows are actively involved in the research landscape.

Applicants must possess board certification or eligibility in nephrology, complemented by advanced training in transplant nephrology, and hold a valid medical license in Kentucky.

Academic rank and compensation will be aligned with the candidate's experience.
