Position Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Occupational Therapist to join our team of dedicated educators in Providence, Rhode Island. As a School-Based Occupational Therapist, you will play a vital role in supporting students' development of essential skills needed for success in the academic environment.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive evaluations to identify fine motor, sensory processing, and visual perceptual challenges in children.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans tailored to each student's unique needs and goals.
  • Provide direct therapy services to students in individual or group settings within the school environment.
  • Collaborate effectively with teachers, parents, administrators, and other healthcare professionals to ensure a holistic approach to student care.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed records of student progress and treatment plans.
  • Communicate regularly with families and caregivers to provide education, support, and updates on their child's development.
  • Participate in professional development opportunities to stay abreast of current best practices in occupational therapy for children.

Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.
  • Active Rhode Island State Licensure in Occupational Therapy.
  • Previous experience working with children in a school-based setting is highly preferred.
  • Strong clinical skills and knowledge of child development principles.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving abilities.
