Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Recreational Therapist IV to join our team at the State of Hawaii. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for planning, organizing, and supervising recreational therapy programs for individuals with physical, mental, emotional, and developmental disabilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement comprehensive recreational therapy treatment plans
  • Conduct therapeutic recreational and leisure activities to promote physical, emotional, and social well-being
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to provide holistic care and support
  • Supervise and train staff to ensure high-quality service delivery
  • Monitor and evaluate program effectiveness and make data-driven decisions
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Recreation, Physical Education, Special Education, Psychology, or Sociology
  • 3 years of progressively responsible experience in recreational therapy
  • At least 1 year of experience comparable to Recreational Therapist III
  • Supervisory aptitude and experience
