Job Summary

Property Damage Appraisers Inc is seeking a skilled and experienced Auto Field Appraiser to join our team. As an Auto Field Appraiser, you will be responsible for verifying and accurately appraising the cost of repairs on automobiles, ensuring that our clients receive a fair settlement amount.

Key Responsibilities
  • Verify and appraise the cost of repairs on automobiles
  • Review each assignment by speaking with the owner or representative, researching records, and inspecting any involved property
  • Ensure that all assignments are completed to the satisfaction and approval of the client and/or claimant
  • Meet with clients to complete inspections/appraisals within the given time frame
  • Submit detailed auto inspection reports summarizing the damages or any possible open items that may surface
  • Identify potential and questionable damages reported by the owner and communicate with the client with findings
  • Ability to plan and navigate daily routes efficiently using our Optimizer Automation tool
  • Ability to visually and manually inspect all angles of the interior and exterior of the vehicle
  • Ability to establish repair requirements and cost estimates for losses
  • Ability to evaluate and successfully negotiate operations and cost of repairs
  • Deliver a positive customer service experience to all internal, external, current, and prospective clients
  • Ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced performance-driven environment
  • Ability to articulate decisions and technical knowledge both verbally and written
Requirements
  • 1+ years of field claims experience, including auto claims
  • Electronic estimating experience using one or all estimating platforms: Mitchell, CCC, Audatex
  • 1+ year of strong customer service and conflict resolution competency
  • 1+ year of experience in working independently (self-motivated)
  • Excellent organization, attention to detail, and adaptability
  • Reliable transportation, valid state driver's license, and safe driving record
  • Professional business attire and appearance while carrying out services to the public
  • State licensing where required
  • Adjuster's license - if applicable to location
  • Appraiser's license - if applicable to location
  • High School diploma or equivalent preferred
Working Conditions

100% travel is required within designated working territory. Normal office or field claims environment. Ability to operate a motor vehicle for up to 8 hours daily, repeatedly entering and exiting the vehicle. Must be able to make physical inspections of auto loss sites. Must be able to work outdoors in all types of weather. Available to work catastrophic loss events. Willingness to work irregular hours and to travel with possible overnight requirements a plus.
