Engine Machinist

We are seeking a skilled Engine Machinist to join our team at Arnold Motor Supply. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in providing specialized services to our customers in select locations.

As an Engine Machinist, you will be responsible for developing custom solutions for our customers, utilizing your highly-specialized skills to create engine machining solutions that meet their unique needs.

Key Responsibilities:

• Understand customer needs and create engine machining solutions
• Operate and maintain machine shop equipment safely and efficiently

Job Tasks and Responsibilities:

• Manage a range of jobs and projects from various industries, including agriculture, high-performance, diesel, vintage/restoration, and other specialties
• Create accurate estimates for job requirements and manage resources to ensure timely completion
• Maintain strong communication with customers throughout a project
• Perform a wide range of machine shop jobs, including engine rebuilds and machining, reconditioning of blocks, heads, crankshafts, flywheels, drums, rotors, and other parts

Requirements:

• Manual dexterity skills for performing machining and assembly operations
• Strong customer service skills and communication skills
• Mechanical aptitude and ability to lift a minimum of 70 pounds regularly
• Standing, lifting, twisting, bending, walking, and sitting
• Some computer knowledge and proficiency
