Child Development Center - Teacher Assistant

We are seeking a dedicated Teacher Assistant to support our educational programs at M. C. Griffin Child Development Center. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of children's cognitive, social, emotional, and physical development to create a safe and engaging classroom environment.

Position Details:
  • Part-time position, Monday to Friday
  • Flexible hours between 7 a.m. and 5 p.m.
  • Salary based on experience and education
Responsibilities:
  • Assist in implementing educational curriculum based on early learning standards
  • Provide age-appropriate activities to promote children's growth and development
  • Maintain effective communication with parents and uphold center policies
  • Ensure a clean and safe classroom environment, adhering to health and safety standards
  • Attend staff meetings and professional development trainings to enhance skills and knowledge
Requirements:
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Understanding of child development principles and practices
  • CPR and First Aid certification
  • Ability to lift 40 lbs and perform physical tasks as required

Associate's Degree or higher in Early Childhood Education or a related field
