The University of Miami Frost School of Music is seeking a highly qualified Music Faculty Member to join our team as a Full-Time Lecturer in Voice for the Studio Music and Jazz Vocal Performance program. This is a competitive opportunity for a talented individual to teach voice in the Jazz Vocal Performance program, teach jazz vocal studio class, and direct a small or large ensemble.

• Teach voice lessons with an emphasis on vocal technique, vocal health, interpretation, and style with a focus on jazz and contemporary/popular music.
• Develop and implement curriculum for jazz vocal studio class and ensemble.
• Direct a small or large ensemble, providing guidance and mentorship to students.
• Contribute to the development of the Studio Music and Jazz Vocal Performance program.

• Master's or Doctoral degree in Music or a related field.
• Substantive national and/or international credits in the music industry and demonstrated expertise in jazz performance.
• Demonstrated experience with microphone technique and live sound reinforcement.
• Familiarity with music notation software.
• Experience teaching/directing large jazz vocal ensembles and small jazz combos.
• Demonstrated knowledge of jazz piano, harmony, improvisation, and contemporary/popular music vernacular.
• Knowledge of Digital Audio Workstations.
