Job Summary

Greensboro College is seeking a qualified Adjunct Instructor to teach continuing education courses in English language development. The successful candidate will be responsible for course preparation, delivery, and attendance tracking.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assess student goals and create lesson plans that align with the course objectives.
  • Develop and implement engaging and applicable lesson plans for students with varying levels of English proficiency.
  • Conduct formative and summative assessments to track student progress.
  • Work with students to differentiate instruction and meet their individual needs.
  • Attend all scheduled classes and maintain a positive learning atmosphere.
  • Use online resources to provide students with access to course materials outside of the classroom.
  • Communicate with the director and other team members as needed.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field, ESL training, and ESL teaching experience.
  • Master's Degree in TESOL or a closely related field is preferred.
  • One or more years of experience teaching ESL in an adult education program is preferred.
