About the RoleWe are seeking a skilled Diet Technician to join our team at Healthcare Services Group. As a Diet Technician, you will play a vital role in providing nutrition care to patients and residents in accordance with federal, state, and local standards.
Responsibilities- Provide education on general principles of nutrition to patients and residents
- Conduct resident interviews and data collection
- Work independently to provide direction and education for dining services operations
- Collaborate with the Registered Dietitian to ensure quality nutritional services are provided
- Act as a resource to the Director of Dining Services to maintain a clean, safe, and sanitary dining environment
- Minimum of an associate's degree in nutrition/dietetics from an accredited college or university
- 1-3 years of dietary experience in long-term care, either as a consultant or in a supervisory capacity
- Ability to follow time schedules for meal preparation and serving
- Maintains a neat, clean, well-groomed appearance
- Dependable, with experience working in facilities utilizing quantity food production methods
