Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Speech-Language Pathologist to join our team at Boston Public Schools. As a Speech-Language Pathologist, you will play a critical role in providing services to students with communication disabilities, enabling them to access the curriculum and participate fully in school and community life.

Key Responsibilities
  • Evaluation: Assess students referred for evaluation using standardized testing instruments and write reports that reflect the results of these assessments.
  • Speech and Language Therapy Services: Provide therapy and consultation services to students based on individual needs, in compliance with IEPs or 504 Plans.
  • General Responsibilities: Comply with state regulations, develop and maintain schedules, and maintain accurate records of student attendance and therapy sessions.
Qualifications
  • Massachusetts Teachers Certification in Speech, Language and Hearing Disorders and Massachusetts License in Speech-Language Pathology.
  • Hold a Master's Degree in Speech-Language Pathology.
  • Meet all state and federal guidelines for licensure.
  • Current authorization to work in the United States.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience working in public school settings with urban youth.
