Description

At MRG Exams, a leader in independent medical examinations, we are seeking a skilled Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation (PM&R) physician to join our team of experts. This PRN position is ideal for those interested in performing independent medical assessments, which involve reviewing medical records and conducting comprehensive evaluations to support the VA's disability benefits process.

The PM&R physician will be responsible for:

  • Reviewing medical health records through a secure Web Portal
  • Performing comprehensive assessments on veterans, with an average of 3 per day
  • Completing Disability Benefit Questionnaires (DBQ's) through the Web Portal, documenting exam findings needed by the VA

Key Responsibilities:

The successful candidate will possess excellent analytical and documentation skills, as well as the ability to spend at least 50% of their day reviewing medical records and electronically documenting exam findings. Proficiency in finding key data points within large electronic medical records and analyzing data to complete DBQ's is essential.

Requirements:

  • Hold a current license as a Physiatrist
  • Be Board Certified in either Neurological Surgery, PM&R, or Psychiatry and Neurology
  • Meet the credentialing requirements set forth by the VA

We offer a competitive estimated salary range of $200,000 - $300,000 annually, depending on experience, and the opportunity to serve veterans in your community.
