Job Summary:

We are seeking a reliable and punctual Lunchroom Assistant to join our team at Mid-Michigan Area Public Schools Consortium. As a Lunchroom Assistant, you will be responsible for overseeing students in the cafeteria during lunch periods to ensure a positive, safe, and healthy environment. You will also provide assistance to students as needed, including carrying cafeteria trays of food to tables. Additionally, you will supervise students' activities on the playground during recess to ensure a safe and positive environment.

Responsibilities:
  • Oversee students in the cafeteria during lunch periods
  • Provide assistance to students as needed
  • Supervise students' activities on the playground during recess
  • Other duties as assigned by the building principal

Requirements:
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with students and staff
  • Ability to foster a positive and supportive environment with staff and students
  • Must be reliable, punctual, dependable, honest, and self-motivated
  • Physically able to stand, walk, bend, twist, lift, and carry items
  • Must be able to work outside for recess period

Qualifications:
  • High School diploma or GED
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to work with students of varying ages and abilities

Working Conditions:
  • Work in a school setting
  • Work with students and staff

Compensation:
  • $12.00 per hour
