Catholic Health Initiatives is seeking a highly skilled Nurse Practitioner to join our team in Emergency Medicine. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide high-quality patient care, work collaboratively with physicians and other healthcare professionals, and contribute to the development of clinical protocols and guidelines.
Key Responsibilities- Patient Care: Diagnose and treat various medical conditions, develop and implement comprehensive treatment plans, conduct thorough medical examinations and histories, and maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records.
- Communication: Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams, provide clear and concise medical information, and foster a collaborative and patient-centered approach to healthcare.
- Diagnostic Procedures: Order and interpret diagnostic tests, such as lab work and imaging, perform procedures as needed, and collaborate with specialists for further diagnostic evaluation.
- Team Collaboration: Collaborate with nurses, specialists, and other healthcare professionals, participate in interdisciplinary team meetings and case discussions, and provide consultative services to other healthcare providers.
- Quality Improvement: Participate in quality assurance and improvement initiatives, review and analyze clinical outcomes for continuous improvement, and implement changes to enhance patient care and safety.
- Compliance: Adhere to ethical and legal standards in medical practice, stay informed about healthcare regulations and compliance requirements, and participate in quality audits to ensure adherence to standards.
- Continuous Learning: Stay abreast of medical advancements and best practices, participate in ongoing medical education and training, and contribute to the development of clinical protocols and guidelines.
- Graduated from an accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant Masters or Doctorate program.
- Emergency Room or Inpatient experience of 1 year or more, required.
- Board certified as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant in Family Medicine, Emergency Medicine, or Hospital Medicine.
- ACLS, PALS, and ATLS or CALS certified.
- Qualification to successfully obtain an unrestricted Minnesota practice license and DEA.
- Interested in a shift-based condensed work schedule.
- Excellent interpersonal and leadership skills.
- Able to work independently and be flexible and adaptable to changing patient demographics and needs.
