Aveanna Healthcare is seeking a skilled and compassionate School Licensed Nurse to provide direct school nursing services in an effort to promote prevention, medical management, and academics.
Key Responsibilities- Provide direct school nursing services to students in a 1:1 school/home nurse setting.
- Develop and implement individualized plans of care to promote student health and academic success.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care.
- Administer medications, perform treatments, and provide medical care as needed.
- Document services provided and maintain accurate records.
- Participate in health plan meetings and school conferences as required.
- Graduate of an accredited Diploma, Associate, or Baccalaureate School of Nursing.
- Current, unrestricted state license as a Licensed Nurse in the state of practice.
- Current CPR certification.
- Current Basic Life Support certification.
- Demonstrated proficiency in clinical assessments, documentation, and compliance with nursing care and policies and procedures.
- Experience working in a school setting.
- Knowledge of school health policies and procedures.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
