Janitorial Assistant

We are seeking a detail-oriented and flexible Janitorial Assistant to join our team at Gulfport Sportsplex. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and organization of our facilities, ensuring a positive experience for our guests.

• Greet guests and provide information and wayfinding as needed
• Provide courteous and friendly first-in-class service to all guests
• Perform general clean-up of all areas of the building as directed
• Monitor for spills throughout the facility and clean as needed
• Clean all floor surfaces and glass in facility
• Clean and maintain all bathrooms (toilets, sinks, floors, restock supplies, etc.)
• Clean all guest seating and lobby area
• Facility trash & recycles removal
• Complete special projects, daily assignments and other duties as directed by management

• Housekeeping/janitorial/porter experience preferred
• High school diploma/GED required or working towards it
• Willingness to work a variety of shifts
• Ability to work well under minimal supervision
• Capacity to take direction and follow through
• Strong attention to detail
• Must be available to work a flexible schedule, a combination of evenings, nights, weekends, and some holidays

• Physically capable of lifting and moving objects up to 50 pounds as necessary
• May be required to sit or stand for extended periods of time whether indoors or outdoors, and squat, stoop, or bend
• Ability to navigate around the facility for long periods of time
• Will be required to operate a computer
• Facility has intermittent noise
