Baylor College of Medicine is seeking a highly skilled Advanced Practitioner to provide exceptional patient care in the Section of General Internal Medicine. About the Role

The ideal candidate will possess a Master's degree in Nursing and current licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN) by the State of Texas Board of Nursing, as well as Texas Licensure as an Advanced Practice Nurse (APRN-NP) and specialty certification as required by the department. Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification is also required.

As a Nocturnist Nurse Practitioner, General Medicine Specialist, you will be responsible for obtaining detailed histories and performing physical examinations, ordering and interpreting diagnostic procedures, prescribing appropriate treatments, and maintaining accurate records of patient medical information.

Responsibilities
  • Obtain detailed histories and perform physical examinations to assess patient needs.
  • Order and interpret diagnostic procedures to inform treatment decisions.
  • Pursue opportunities to advance your knowledge and skills through education and research initiatives within the department.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient medical records.
  • Collaborate with healthcare providers to identify patients requiring care management.
