Warehouse Associate Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Warehouse Associate to join our team at National DCP. As a key member of our warehouse operations, you will play a critical role in ensuring the efficient and safe operation of our warehouse.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Inventory Management: Accurately select products from warehouse pick locations using our state-of-the-art Vocollect voice command system.
  • Order Fulfillment: Operate an electric pallet jack or forklift to accurately and safely hand select orders within various warehouse temperature environments.
  • Warehouse Maintenance: Stack product on pallets in accordance with proper operating procedures and stage pallets for loading at an assigned outbound dock location.
  • Quality Control: Maintain established selection rates per temperature zones and perform daily safety inspections on material handling equipment.
  • Load Preparation: Shrink-wrap product to secure load for transit, manually or using shrink-wrap machine.
  • Equipment Maintenance: Safely operate all equipment utilized to perform tasks associated with role and maintain proper and safe lifting techniques.
  • Team Collaboration: Immediately advise supervisor of any unsafe conditions or accidents and attend all required Company meetings.
  • Adaptability: Cross train in other functions and perform other warehouse duties as assigned.
Requirements:
  • Temperature Tolerance: Ability to perform work within various warehouse temperature environments: Dry (ambient temps), Cooler (34 degrees), and Freezer (-10 degrees).
  • Physical Demands: Ability to lift up to 55 lbs.
  • Equipment Operation: Ability to operate shrink-wrap machine and manually shrink-warp product, as well as powered industrial trucks (fork lift, pallet jack, high lift).
  • Scheduling: Ability to work flexible days and hours, including weekends and holidays.
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent education and/or experience.
  • Soft Skills: Desire and ability to work in a collaborative work environment and basic knowledge of shipping and warehouse procedures preferred.
