Activities Supervisor Job Description

At Sun Communities, we are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Activities Supervisor to join our team. As an Activities Supervisor, you will be responsible for planning and coordinating a variety of activities for our RV resort, including picnics, sporting events, dances, and dinners.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Coordinate team member selection, training, scheduling, and development
  • Plan, coordinate, and supervise all activities, including events and programs
  • Produce a calendar of events for the next calendar season and prepare monthly and annual budgets
  • Maintain a balance sheet for each activity or event and review, approve, and submit all invoices for payment
  • Maintain adequate office and activity supply inventories and prepare weekly newsletters and distribute to resort residents and guests
  • Answer the telephone courteously and handle routine questions regarding activities
  • Prepare end-of-month and other reports as requested by RV Resort Manager and market events within or outside the resort to ensure success
  • Prepare food for small events and collaborate with a caterer for larger events
Requirements:
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Knowledge of basic accounting principles
  • Ability to work well with others inside and outside the company
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to negotiate prices/contracts on behalf of the resort
  • Strong organizational skills and demonstrated leadership abilities
  • Basic computer proficiency, including the ability to use the Microsoft Office Suite, email, and internet
  • Flexibility to work events during non-business hours
