We are seeking a skilled Janitorial Specialist to join our team at L&H Janitorial. This is a full-time position responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and sanitation of various county-owned facilities.

The estimated salary for this role is $40,000 - $55,000 per year, depending on experience. If you have a high school diploma or equivalent and previous janitorial or custodial experience, we encourage you to apply.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Cleaning and Sanitation: Perform routine cleaning tasks including sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, dusting, and polishing. Clean and sanitize restrooms, including replenishing supplies (soap, paper towels, toilet paper).
  • Trash and Recycling: Empty trash cans and recycling bins, disposing of waste properly.
  • Maintenance: Clean and disinfect high-touch surfaces such as door handles, light switches, and handrails. Maintain and clean floors, carpets, and other surfaces in accordance with health and safety standards.
  • Equipment and Supplies: Operate and maintain cleaning equipment and tools, such as floor buffers, vacuums, and scrubbers. Monitor and maintain inventory of cleaning supplies, placing orders as necessary.
  • Safety and Emergency Response: Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and procedures. Respond to emergency cleaning requests and special projects as needed.

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Experience: Previous janitorial or custodial experience is desirable.
  • Skills: Knowledge of cleaning chemicals, supplies, and equipment. Ability to follow instructions and perform tasks independently. Strong attention to detail and a commitment to cleanliness and safety. Good physical condition and the ability to lift and move items up to 50 pounds.

Working Conditions:

  • Work is performed indoors in various county buildings.
  • Exposure to cleaning chemicals and equipment.
  • Physical demands include standing, walking, bending, lifting, and carrying items.
