POSITION SUMMARY

  • Oversee and facilitate initiatives and services to improve the magnet program
  • Provide professional development focused on theme-integrated Tier 1 instruction
  • Gather and evaluate data for the site-specific magnet strategy
  • Organize and execute recruitment events
  • Create a promotional strategy for the magnet site

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS

  • Valid Arizona Teaching Certificate
  • IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card
  • Background in Adult Learning Theory
  • Experience in delivering Professional Development
  • Minimum of five years of teaching experience

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Structured English Immersion Endorsement
  • Familiarity with Magnet School Plans
  • Understanding of Magnet Evaluation Systems
  • Knowledge of Magnet Schools of America Standards and Measures
  • Awareness of Unitary Status Plans
  • Experience in Marketing and Event Planning

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS POST-HIRE

  • Verification of immunity to rubeola and rubella, or proof of MMR vaccination

COMMENTS

Effective: SCHOOL YEAR

FTE: hours per day, 9.5 month work calendar

  • Positions under 30 hours weekly are not eligible for district benefits
  • Internal candidates will transfer at a rate consistent with their bargaining unit language
  • Probationary Contracts may be issued for certain roles
