Position Summary and RequirementsUnder the supervision of the Cardiology Manager, you will coordinate and deliver patient care, taking individual responsibility for nursing services within the Cardiology Department.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Administering medications and monitoring patient vital signs/EKG.
- Conducting continuous assessments and documentation throughout the patient's stay.
- Collaborating with the Anesthesia team for patients undergoing sedation.
- Providing patient education and post-procedure assessments.
- Performing emergency cardiopulmonary resuscitation as necessary.
- Maintaining equipment and inventory for the EP/Cath Lab.
- Ensuring readiness of procedure rooms and obtaining necessary supplies.
- Assisting patients during procedures and collecting data for performance improvement.
- Participating in continuing education and cross-training initiatives.
- Supporting CV Pre/Post staffing and procedures as required.
Qualifications:
Must be a graduate of an accredited nursing program and possess a current Kansas nursing license. BLS certification is required upon hire, and ACLS certification must be obtained within six months. Strong interpersonal skills and basic computer proficiency are essential. A minimum of one year of nursing experience in a cardiology-related field is preferred, with previous experience in cardiovascular or electrophysiology labs being advantageous.
