We are seeking a skilled Marine Diesel Technician to join our team at Suncoast Diesel Marine Inc. As a Marine Diesel Technician, you will be responsible for ensuring the optimal performance and maintenance of our marine engines.
Job DescriptionA Marine Diesel Technician is a crucial member of our team, responsible for inspecting and maintaining marine engines to ensure they operate safely and efficiently. Your expertise will help us maintain a high level of service quality and customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities:- Engine Inspections: Regularly inspect marine engines for signs of malfunctions, using visual inspections and scheduled testing as necessary.
- Preventative Maintenance: Perform routine preventative maintenance and service to ensure the longevity and efficiency of our marine engines.
- Diagnostics and Repairs: Use diagnostic software to diagnose engine issues and perform repairs to get our customers back on the water quickly.
- Tool Ownership: Maintain a basic set of mechanic's tools to perform tasks efficiently.
- Work Area Maintenance: Ensure a clean and organized work area to maximize productivity and efficiency.
- Work Orders: Read and carry out work orders accurately and efficiently.
- Team Collaboration: Work effectively with other team members to achieve common goals.
- Mechanical Experience: Strong mechanical experience and training, preferably with marine products.
- Driver's License: Valid driver's license with a clean record.
- Physical Demands: Ability to walk, stand, and lift heavy objects for extended periods.
- Independence: Ability to work independently while collaborating with the team.
- Healthcare: The company will pay half of your individual healthcare monthly bill.

The estimated salary for this role is $65,000 - $85,000 per year, based on industry standards and location.
