About the Position

We are seeking a skilled ILS Instructor to join our team at Thrive Support Services, Inc. in Martinez, CA. As an ILS Instructor, you will work one-on-one with individuals with developmental disabilities to empower them to achieve independence and community participation.

Your role will involve teaching independent living skills in a motivating, personalized, and professional environment. You will have a caseload of 3-6 clients and work closely with our team to support their goals and needs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Teach independent living skills such as money management, medical management, basic cooking and meal preparation, utilizing public transportation, locating affordable housing, obtaining and maintaining benefits, and community involvement and socialization goals.
  • Develop and implement personalized plans to support clients in achieving their goals.
  • Provide regular progress updates to clients and their families or guardians.
  • Maintain accurate records of client progress and program activities.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable vehicle.
  • Auto insurance with liability coverage.
  • Pass a DOJ/FBI fingerprint clearance.
