At United Rentals, we're committed to providing our customers with the best equipment and service. As a Diesel Mechanic (Service Tech II), you'll play a critical role in ensuring our equipment is in top condition.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on rental equipment and tools, including mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and diesel systems.
  • Maintain accurate records of work performed, including paperwork and electronic documentation.
  • Demonstrate equipment to customers and assist with pick-up and delivery of equipment and parts.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to achieve exceptional customer service and maintain a safe working environment.
Requirements:
  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Valid driver's license with a good driving record.
  • 1-2 years of experience in repairing and maintaining vehicles and equipment, or trade school graduate.
  • Must own necessary tools for the position.
  • Basic understanding of schematics and diagrams.
  • Excellent customer service, teamwork, and communication skills.
  • Ability to frequently lift items up to 45 lbs.
