  • Monitor and record patient condition, communicating effectively with healthcare teams to ensure seamless care.
  • Perform advanced respiratory care modalities, including the administration of medications and treatments.
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of respiratory practice, administration of medications, and treatment based on patient outcomes.
  • Educate patients and families about their health conditions, providing information about community support groups and available resources.
  • Assist with the maintenance and calibration of respiratory equipment, ensuring optimal functionality and safety.
  • Participate in maintaining departmental inventory levels for supplies and equipment, ensuring efficient operations.
  • Process equipment according to established cleaning and sterilization procedures, maintaining a safe and healthy environment.
  • Respond to emergency resuscitation team calls, providing critical care and support as needed.
Requirements
  • BLS Provider certification within 1 month of hire date or job transfer date.
  • One or more of the following certifications: Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) or Respiratory Therapist (RT) from the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC) or the Tennessee Board of Respiratory Care.
  • High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience or Associate's degree/Technical degree or 4 years of applicable cumulative job-specific experience.
