Job Title: CDL Driver - Birmingham

Join Eastern Industrial Supplies, Inc. as a CDL Driver in Birmingham, AL. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for delivering industrial pipe, valves, and fittings (PVF) and commercial plumbing products to local customers and other Eastern Distribution Centers.

Responsibilities:
  • Load and secure orders onto Eastern vehicles.
  • Maintain daily truck logs, including all safety and pre-trip checklists.
  • Deliver orders to local customers and other Eastern Distribution Centers.
  • Maintain phone or radio contact with the supervisor to communicate delivery instructions or updates.
  • Inspect truck equipment and perform emergency roadside repairs when needed.
  • May also be responsible for distribution job functions, including pulling orders for shipment from warehouse and pipe yard inventory, staging and preparing orders for shipment, and completing all shipping paperwork.

Requirements:
  • High school diploma or GED.
  • At least 12 months of CDL driving experience and 6 months of related warehouse, forklift, and order fulfillment experience.
  • Valid CDL, Class A Driver's License, and Medical Certificate/Health Card following Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration regulations.
  • Basic computer knowledge and experience.

Please note that this job requires living within a reasonable distance from the Distribution Center and is not a remote position. Road trips will be daily, with no overnights.
