About the Role:

South College is seeking a highly qualified Adjunct Faculty Member in Physics to join our team at the Atlanta Learning Site. As an Adjunct Faculty Member, you will be responsible for providing instruction in physics topics, including mechanics, gravity, impulse, momentum, work, energy, conservation laws, and fluid mechanics.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide quality instruction in assigned courses within the approved academic program curriculum.
  • Meet South College standards for classroom management, use of technology, grade submission, and records management.
  • Prepare and implement teaching and evaluation strategies for student engagement.
  • Support student success through mentoring and tutoring.

Requirements:

  • A minimum of an acceptable master's or doctoral degree in the discipline, or an earned master's or doctoral degree and satisfactory completion of 18 graduate semester hours in the discipline.
  • Official, sealed transcripts from both undergraduate and graduate institutions.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience and documented excellence in postsecondary teaching.
