About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Maintenance Supervisor to join our team at American Campus Communities. As a key member of our property management team, you will be responsible for overseeing the maintenance and upkeep of our properties, ensuring that all facilities and equipment are in good working order.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist property management in overseeing the activities of assigned staff and vendors to ensure the maintenance of the property, facilities, and equipment.
  • Develop and implement maintenance programs to ensure that all work orders are completed in a timely manner.
  • Solicit vendor bids and coordinate the management of the company turn program in partnership with property management.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation according to state and federal laws and organizational policies and procedures.

Requirements

  • A high school diploma or equivalent and at least three (3) years of related experience, including HVAC, plumbing, and electrical experience.
  • Air conditioning and refrigeration certification by an EPA Type 2 or above approved testing organization is preferred.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work effectively with employees, residents, and guests.
  • Computer skills, including Microsoft Office products and internet usage.
  • Ability to occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 lbs.
