The chosen applicant will engage in logistics operations essential for the precise and effective handling of client orders, which includes overseeing the order fulfillment cycle along with shipping and receiving tasks.
Key Responsibilities may encompass:
Receiving/Returns
- Facilitate the transfer of products from supply sources and external vendors.
- Verify incoming freight and log it into the system. Assess incoming shipments to confirm that the necessary documentation accompanies the delivery. Take appropriate measures for non-compliant shipments.
- Address inbound delivery inquiries with carriers and suppliers to ensure successful receipt of shipments.
- Sort and scan smaller packages.
- Investigate discrepancies related to returned items.
Shipping
- Organize and dispatch customer orders for both International and Domestic clients to guarantee timely delivery using the appropriate carrier method.
- Manage and ship both hazardous and non-hazardous materials.
- Assist in tracking, sorting, and overseeing all non-system shipments.
Replenishment
- Restock inventory to designated pick locations for both International and Domestic warehouses.
- Transport products from the receiving area to the correct pick or storage locations.
Order Processing
- Ensure that orders are processed accurately and efficiently while maintaining a tidy and organized workspace.
- Monitor the system for new orders.
- Oversee the pick line and address issues such as rejects, shortages, errors, etc.
Working Relationships
- Collaborate closely and effectively with other coordinators and operational support teams.
- Engage with various departments regarding inbound and outbound shipments and resolve order-related issues.
- Coordinate with vendors and carriers to ensure proper receipt and dispatch of goods.
- Contact system support to troubleshoot technical issues.
General Duties
- Accountable for completing all required inventory counts promptly.
- Assist in periodic audits.
- Manage special projects as assigned.
- Communicate updates and changes to team members.
- Regularly update team performance metrics.
- Order supplies for the team.
- Provide training to team members.
Qualifications:
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; an associate degree is preferred.
- At least two years of relevant experience and/or training.
- Proficient in logistics software and Microsoft Office Suite with demonstrated analytical abilities.
- Forklift certification is necessary.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills are essential.
- Proven capability to research and analyze data to apply information for business solutions.
Physical Requirements:
The work environment is a standard indoor industrial setting, which may include warehousing and production areas. Routine lifting of up to 40 lbs. and occasionally up to 80 lbs. is required, and the incumbent must be able to access all areas of the facility. Personal protective equipment must be worn as required.
This is a full-time position with regular hours and potential overtime opportunities.
