  • Record Management: Organize, classify, and index patient medical records using electronic or paper-based systems, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and confidentiality.
  • Data Entry: Input patient demographic and clinical data into electronic health records (EHR) systems with precision and attention to detail.
  • Record Retrieval: Respond to requests for medical records from healthcare providers, insurance companies, and patients, adhering to established protocols for record release.
  • Quality Control: Review medical records for completeness and accuracy, correcting any discrepancies as necessary.
  • Documentation: Prepare and scan documents into electronic databases, ensuring proper documentation storage and retrieval.
  • Collaboration: Collaborate with healthcare providers, administrative staff, and other professionals to ensure accurate and efficient record-keeping practices.
Requirements
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent; associate's degree or certification in Health Information Management (HIM) preferred.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in electronic health records (EHR) software and medical coding systems (e.g., ICD-10, CPT).
  • Soft Skills: Strong attention to detail and organizational skills, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, ability to prioritize tasks and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
