Core Responsibilities:

  • Develop and oversee the annual maintenance and repair strategy along with the associated budget.
  • Ensure the facility's safety, security, and upkeep through regular monitoring.
  • Supervise the maintenance and repair operations for machinery, equipment, and both electrical and mechanical systems.
  • Initiate renovation requests and manage purchase orders.
  • Evaluate and enhance facility maintenance and repair performance.
  • Formulate and manage the annual investment strategy and budget.
  • Assess facility investment methodologies.
  • Review construction plans and implement necessary modifications (P&ID, etc.).
  • Draft specifications for new constructions and prepare public construction documents.
  • Solicit quotations for new facilities and manage construction purchase orders.
  • Oversee facility investment performance.
  • Address facility repair requests as per system feedback.
  • Update and manage the facility operation manual.
  • Conduct inspections on a daily, monthly, quarterly, and yearly basis.
  • Investigate the causes of facility irregularities and assess technology.
  • Compile reports on irregularities to maintain historical records as necessary.
  • Strategize to enhance operational efficiency.
  • Manage piping systems (air, water supply, etc.).
  • Analyze energy consumption trends for each piece of equipment.
  • Identify potential energy-saving opportunities by equipment.
  • Monitor monthly energy-saving performance (considering operational time).
  • Conduct and supervise operational safety inspections (PSV, pressure vessels, & static pressure).
  • Create and maintain documentation for facility requirements as per PSM / ISO standards.
  • Implement corrective actions to enhance facility compliance with PSM / ISO specifications.
  • Oversee mechanical facility construction related to repairs, expansions, or production line changes.
  • Perform additional tasks as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Proven ability to analyze and resolve issues promptly through root cause analysis and implement changes in production departments.
  • Strong customer service orientation with a commitment to maintaining plant processes through adherence to the Quality Operating System.
  • Demonstrated capability to achieve results while managing multiple priorities effectively.
  • Ability to serve as a confident technical mentor to both hourly and salaried production staff.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Flexibility to support any shift within a 7-day work pattern.
  • Willingness to travel significantly during the initial plant launch phase.
  • Ability to work remotely and on-site at temporary facilities as required during the initial plant launch phase.
  • Proven leadership qualities, including strong interpersonal, team-building, and communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical, Chemical, Industrial Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • Experience: 3-5 years in a relevant field.
  • Familiarity with utility equipment is advantageous.
  • Gas boiler and NMP-related certifications are preferred.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.

Shift Details: Rotating shifts with a likelihood of 12-hour shifts (3 days ON, 2 days OFF), allowing for two full weekends off.

Travel Requirements: Flexibility for significant travel (10-25%) during training, primarily to other states and potentially some international travel. Post-training, travel will be domestic (less than 15%).

Relocation: A comprehensive relocation package will be provided.
