Job Summary

Kavaliro is seeking a skilled Drafter II to create and update technical drawings based on engineering input, sketches, and verbal instructions.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Apply ASME/ANSI CAD drafting standards and techniques.
  • Create CAD drawings from provided data and instructions from engineers.
  • Ensure the accuracy of all CAD drawings produced.
  • Operate within the SolidWorks EPDM system.
  • Read and understand drawings across multiple trades.
  • Participate in engineering design meetings as needed.
  • Provide support to production teams.
  • Handle government-furnished equipment and materials safely.
  • Be available for a standard workweek and required overtime.
  • Perform other duties as needed.
Qualifications and Skills:
  • Strong knowledge of ASME/ANSI drawing standards.
  • At least three (3) years of experience with SolidWorks or similar 3D design software.
  • At least two (2) years of experience with AutoCAD or similar 2D design software.
  • Familiarity with SolidWorks EPDM is preferred.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and conceptual skills.
  • Ability to follow directions from senior drafters and management.
  • Able to work independently or collaboratively in a team environment.
Education and Experience:

High school diploma or equivalent with four (4) years of related CAD design and drafting experience, or an Associate's Degree in CAD/drafting with two (2) years of related experience.

Intermediate proficiency in AutoCAD (electrical and mechanical drafting).

Intermediate proficiency in SolidWorks (mechanical design and drafting).
