Staff Attorney

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Staff Attorney to join our team at Southern Arizona Legal Aid, Inc. (SALA). As a Staff Attorney, you will play a vital role in providing free legal assistance to low-income individuals in Southeastern Arizona.

The successful candidate will be responsible for representing clients in civil actions, including family law matters, consumer cases, housing, benefits, wills, and estate administration. You will work closely with our team to provide high-quality legal services to our clients, while also participating in community outreach and education efforts to increase public awareness of our services.

4. Develop and maintain relationships with community organizations and stakeholders to promote our services and build partnerships.

1. Must be a member of the Arizona Bar or be willing to take the next bar exam.
2. Should have zero to five years of experience, including internships and third-year practice under the supervision of a licensed attorney.
3. Must exhibit a high degree of sensitivity to the problems of the low-income community and be able to work with low-income and community groups.
4. Should be knowledgeable in the area of general civil practice on behalf of the low-income community.

We offer a competitive salary range of $50,050-$86,962 DOE, with up to five percent additional compensation for individuals fluent in Spanish. We also provide payment of bar exam and admission fees for those not yet admitted, student loan repayment assistance, and public service loan forgiveness (PSLF) eligibility. Our excellent benefits package includes health insurance, disability insurance, and a pension plan.
