Job Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Shipping Coordinator to join our team at Icon Vehicle Dynamics LLC. The successful candidate will be responsible for verifying and keeping records on outgoing shipments, preparing items for shipment, and ensuring that all shipments meet specifications.

Key Responsibilities
  • Verify identifying information and count, weigh, or measure items of outgoing shipments to ensure accuracy against bills of lading, invoices, orders, or other records.
  • Route items to departments and determine the method of shipment.
  • Create and affix shipping labels on packed cartons or stencils identifying shipping information on cartons.
  • Assemble wooden or cardboard containers or select preassembled containers and insert items into containers.
  • Stamp, stencil, or glue identifying information and shipping instructions onto crates or containers.
  • Post weights and shipping charges and affix postage.
  • Unpack and examine shipments, reject damaged items, record shortages, and correspond with the shipper to rectify damages and shortages.
  • Maintain inventory levels for customers, as well as, shipping materials and supplies.
  • Operate a tier lift truck or use a hand truck to move, convey, or hoist shipments from the shipping and receiving platform to storage or work area.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence and speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of the organization.
  • Basic computer skills, including the use of email.
Work Environment

The work environment is typically moderate, with occasional exposure to noise and physical demands.
