Responsibilities- Unit Receptionist: Greet and guide visitors, ensuring a positive experience for our patients and their families.
- Assist with Patient Care: Work under the supervision of licensed nurses to provide direct and indirect patient care, including taking vital signs, assisting with grooming, and performing general interventions.
- Clinical Knowledge: Utilize your clinical knowledge to perform general interventions for patients, such as taking pulse, helping with grooming, and acting quickly in emergency situations.
- Information Management: Ensure the proper assimilation of information between hospital personnel, nursing staff, and others, maintaining accurate and up-to-date patient records.
- Data Entry: Assist with data entry on patient information into the Cerner Database, ensuring accurate and timely documentation.
- Unit Operations: Perform varied daily job tasks based on patient load and physician orders, maintaining a safe and clean working environment.
- Supply Management: Maintain unit supplies inventory, assist with stocking linens, IV trays, and other unit supplies, and ensure proper storage and disposal of hazardous materials.
- Equipment Maintenance: Maintain unit equipment by following manufacturer's instructions and establishing procedures, calling for repairs as needed.
- Scheduling: Schedule lab work, tests, and x-rays per physician orders, ensuring timely and accurate completion of tasks.
- Confidentiality: Maintain HIPAA confidentiality at all times, protecting patients and hospital operations.
- 1+ years of clinical experience
- Current Certified Nursing Assistant Certificate
- Current BLS Certification
- Preferred ACLS Certification
- Basic computer skills
