Job Summary:

Ophthalmic Consultants of Boston is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Medical Receptionist to provide exceptional patient care service in a fast-paced medical environment. The ideal candidate will be a dependable and organized team player who is professional, efficient, and effective in their interactions with patients and coworkers.

Key Responsibilities:

Deliver excellent patient care service by demonstrating enthusiasm and a calm demeanor in a busy office environment.
Ensure efficient and positive interactions with patients and co-workers.
Work collaboratively as a member of the team to achieve the goal of providing outstanding patient service.
Perform all check-in and check-out functions, ensuring accurate demographic and financial information for each patient encounter.
Collect patient co-payments and past due balances, schedule appointments, and communicate with patients.
Perform other related tasks that facilitate the flow of patients through the practice or enhance the quality of service to patients.

Requirements:

High School Degree or GED.
Minimum of 1 year of medical or healthcare-related setting or equivalent in a customer service, front desk/receptionist position.
Working knowledge of computer systems and respect for confidentiality.
