Job Summary:

Madison County Personnel Dept. is seeking a skilled Staff Social Worker to provide social work services to clients of the outpatient mental health clinic. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of social work principles and practices, as well as excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide individual, group, and family counseling to clients with a wide range of behavioral and emotional difficulties.
  • Complete associate case paperwork, including intake assessments, treatment plans, reviews, and discharge summaries.
  • Function under the supervision of a clinical supervisor, who may define or limit the work to be performed.

Requirements:

  • Possession of a New York State license to practice as a Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW) or Licensed Certified Social Worker (LCSW) or Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT).
  • Current registration, issued by the New York State Education Department at time of application.
  • Ability to maintain an appropriate and current license and registration or limited permit as applicable throughout appointment.

Working Conditions:

The Staff Social Worker will work in a fast-paced outpatient mental health clinic environment, interacting with clients, staff, and supervisors. The ideal candidate will be able to work effectively in a team environment and maintain confidentiality and professionalism at all times.
