Speech Language Pathologist

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Speech Language Pathologist to join our team at Camden County Educational Commission. As a Speech Language Pathologist, you will play a critical role in providing quality school-based speech and language therapy services to students.
Responsibilities:- Provide assessment, evaluation, consultation, intervention, and treatment services to students with communication disorders.
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) and provide related documentation.
- Collaborate with Child Study Team members, teachers, paraprofessionals, and families to ensure effective communication and coordination of services.
- Participate in multi-disciplinary meetings to provide consultative strategies and educational recommendations.
- Perform comprehensive evaluations to determine student ability and develop educationally appropriate intervention plans.
- Provide skilled speech language services in individual, small group, classroom, or other school-based settings.
- Identify barriers to student success and recommend appropriate modifications and accommodations.
- Complete timely documentation of evaluation reports, progress reports, IEPs, daily notes, time logs, and other required documents.
- Valid New Jersey DOE Certificate #3462.
- ASHA membership in good standing or CFY (clinical fellowship year).
- Working knowledge of IEP systems, SEMI billing.
- Strong verbal, written communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Strong organizational and analytical skills.
- Demonstrated office technology software skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, and other cloud-based software.
- Pass a Criminal History Review under the provision of P.L. 1986, C116, and P.L. 2018 Chapter 5.
- Pass a physical examination in accordance with statute and board policy, NJSA 18A:16-2.
- Proof of U.S. citizenship or resident alien status.
- New Jersey Resident per Jersey First Act, N.J.S.A. 52:14-7 (L. 2011, Chapter 70).
This is a ten or twelve-month work year position, with a work schedule, assignment, and compensation to be established by the Board of Directors. The successful candidate will be required to work in a school setting and may be required to travel to various locations within Camden County.
