We are seeking a highly skilled Blood Bank Technologist to join our team at St. Barnabas. As a key member of our laboratory team, you will be responsible for performing a variety of tests and procedures to ensure the accuracy and reliability of blood bank services.
Key Responsibilities- Perform ABO grouping, Rh typing, and other blood bank tests with high accuracy and attention to detail.
- Process blood products and maintain laboratory operations in accordance with established procedures.
- Collaborate with other laboratory sections and departments to provide high-quality patient care.
- Adhere to laboratory quality control and safety policies, and document all quality control activities.
- Identify and correct problems that may affect test performance or reporting of test results.
- Bachelor's degree in a chemical, physical, biological, or clinical laboratory science or medical technology.
- Clinical Laboratory Technologist License issued by the New York State Education Department.
- Education, training, and experience commensurate with clinical laboratory medicine.
