Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Assembly Technician to join our team at Lippert Components. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for the fabrication of sub-assemblies used in chassis, including measuring, plasma cutting, and welding systems to produce sub-assemblies.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Combine specified designs and measurements with component parts, plasma cutting, assemble brackets on the landing gears, and welding systems to produce sub-assemblies.
  2. Rotate position into production welding as necessary in or outside of small parts department.
  3. Assist in repair work as necessary.
  4. Maintain parts area organized and clean, and be responsible for labeling extra parts as needed.
  5. Ensure scrap metal is not put in the same bin as regular trash, and trash needs to be separated for it to be picked up.
  6. Parts should not be on the floor for any reason, and racks & shelves must be used to keep parts off the floor.
  7. Ability to read and use a tape measure.
  8. Maintenance of good housekeeping practices throughout the sub-assembly area.
Requirements
  1. High school degree or GED.
  2. Welding competency & knowledge of welding systems to be demonstrated.
  3. Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
  4. Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.
  5. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
Preferred Qualifications
  1. Ability to read and understand basic blueprints.
  2. Lift Truck Operators License preferred (training available).
Work Environment

This position requires working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment with moderate to loud noise levels. The team member may be exposed to dust, fumes, gases, noise, heat, cold, and wet work while performing job duties. Personal protective equipment such as work gloves, safety glasses, ear plugs, cut resistant sleeves, and seasonal gear will be provided.
