Position Overview

Become a part of a committed group of healthcare professionals in the picturesque region of New Mexico.

Work Schedule:

  • 7 days on, 7 days off or 14 shifts per month
  • 12-hour shifts available (AM or PM)
  • Continuous coverage during the search for permanent staff

Facility Details:

  • 98-bed facility with level III trauma designation
  • Average daily patient census of 43, managed by 2 physicians and 2 advanced practice providers
    • Individual providers typically handle 10-14 patients per day (increased patient load expected during winter months)
  • Open Intensive Care Unit
  • No procedural assistance available

Clinical Responsibilities:

  • Patient admissions and daily rounds
  • All necessary procedures must be performed by the hospitalist due to lack of procedural support
    • Includes central line placements, ventilator management, intubations, etc.

Travel and Lodging Arrangements:

  • Includes flight, rental vehicle, mileage reimbursement, and accommodations
  • Approximately 1 hour to the nearest airport
