A typical week for a Senior Systems Administrator will involve:

  • Conducting daily administration and upkeep of Windows servers, efficiently documenting all system check results.
  • Timely updating of all Microsoft Windows Servers with the latest Defense Information Systems Agency STIGs.
  • Swiftly addressing ACAS findings by applying necessary vendor security updates and hotfixes.
  • Providing prompt responses to customer inquiries and ensuring effective Continuity of Operations planning.
  • Developing and maintaining thorough documentation for all systems and hardware configurations, ensuring compliance with organizational standards.
  • Reporting any system outages immediately and keeping configuration management data up to date.
  • Monitoring and prioritizing trouble tickets to align with the organization's system availability objectives.
  • Offering after-hours on-site support for system issues.

Job Requirements

  • Active TS/SCI clearance with SBI and capability to obtain additional clearances.
  • At least 8 years of experience in server administration within production environments.
  • Extensive experience in Microsoft Windows server administration, including configuration and performance monitoring.
  • Proficiency in managing Active Directory, DNS, and DHCP services.
  • Familiarity with scripting languages such as PowerShell for task automation.
  • Leadership experience in overseeing team tasks and ensuring alignment with goals.
  • Relevant certifications in Microsoft server solutions and DoD IAT Level II.
