Job Title: Elementary General Studies Faculty Position

Akiva School of Nashville is seeking a highly qualified and dedicated Elementary General Studies Faculty member to join our dynamic team of educators.

Job Summary:

We are looking for a passionate and experienced educator to teach a range of subjects, including reading, writing, language arts, math, social studies, and science, to students in Kindergarten through 6th grade. The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to student-centered learning and be able to differentiate instruction to meet the needs of a diverse range of learners.

Responsibilities:
  • Plan and implement high-quality instruction that encourages student engagement and active learning.
  • Teach a Writer's Workshop model for writing instruction and provide one-on-one conferencing to support student growth.
  • Differentiate instruction to meet the needs of students with varying learning styles and abilities.
  • Promote a positive classroom environment and demonstrate strong classroom management skills.
  • Communicate effectively with students, faculty, and families to ensure a high-quality educational experience.
  • Assess student performance and communicate results to support staff and administration.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to plan integrated and interdisciplinary units that support the instructional objectives of both General Studies and Jewish Studies curriculum.
  • Use assessment and evaluation to guide instructional decisions and maintain accurate records of student progress.
Qualifications:
  • Undergraduate degree in education or a related field required.
  • Master's degree in education or a related field preferred.
