Responsibilities
  • Collect and document patient assessment data, including vital signs and medical history.
  • Administer injections and medications as prescribed by physicians.
  • Perform various patient care procedures, such as EKGs and simple lab tests.
  • Assist providers during treatment, testing, and examinations.
  • Provide patient and family education on health conditions, treatments, and self-care.
  • Document patient care and related information in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Respond to incoming phone calls and perform telephone triaging of patients.
  • Follow up on patient care as needed and review charts for accuracy.
  • Participate in quality assurance and improvement initiatives.
Requirements
  • Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
  • Possession of a current Illinois RN license.
  • CPR certification.
Physical Demands

The employee is regularly required to stand, walk, and talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to sit, use hands to finger, handle, or feel, and reach with hands and arms. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, and depth perception.
